MKII Turbocharged engine (3S-GTE)
This engine is a 2.0 Liter 16 valve, DOHC, turbocharged. Stock turbocharged is capable of producing up to 11.8 psi of boost. Using what Toyota refers to as a twin-entry turbocharger, an air-to-air intercooler and EFI, this engine produces 204 HP at 6000 rpm, and 200 lb-ft of torque at 3000 rpm in stock form. Upgrades are available claiming up to more than 500 HP.
Toyota claims that the turbo is capable of 5.9 second 0-60 mph sprints, 14.3-second quarter miles, and a top speed of 149 mph.
This engine is not available in Europe and Australia.
This engine is identical to the version found in the Celica All-trac Turbo.
Japanese 1995 car claims 245 HP using 13psi boost in stock condition.
