I make the following important tuning:
- V6 engine 211hp and 243Nm
- KW adjustable gear 55/40mm lower
- Front with 7x17" with 205/40/17 tires
- Rear with 8x18" with 225/35/18 tires
- race seats with 4 point belts
- no powersteering but axle hub from power steering for direct street contact
- big 92+ brakes
- new painting with black metallic and some body modifications

Here is now the first picture of my V6 install set.
There are 10 parts which are not on the picture because they are not complete finished until now. One of this is the big new exhaust pipe system.
My set includes about 150 pieces and I make a complete new and 100% fitting wire harness. You can buy this set from me.

If you will see my car and many other MR2 come to our biggest german MR2 meeting (around 100MR2) from 25-27.07.2008 at Duderstadt.

Wow, really nice mr2 you got there. Have you done everything by your self?? What year is the engine from??

Damn  That is one of the most beautiful mr2 i have seen... I have to admit that i am a little bit jealous :P That engine is a piece of art, and i really like your engine hood :D "show of" 8)

Thanks to all.
Yes, I make all myself, the Alcantara inside, the engine, anything.
I let nobody other work at my car!!

The engine is from a 1992-1996 Camry V10 it is a 3VZ-FE with 188hp.
A make some headwork and I get 211hp on the dyno run.
The V6 engine is realy the best I ever drive in any MR2, it is powerfull at any rotation, makes great noise und ist very soft to drive, not like the turbo.

Here is my 3VZ-FE against my old 3S-GE with 175hp:

Here you can find some videos of the V6 engine:

Here are lot of pictures from the V6 swap:

Now I sold 5 V6 install sets in germany, I hope to bring the 3VZ-FE as the new standart engine here. :D

Nice :D

It would be a dream come true to install the V6 engine in my mr2. But how is the price compare to the turbo engine?
And when it comes to the install...Is the V6 engine like the turbo engine? Can you just "put it in"?

Thanks for answer :)

And do you have some more pics of the car outside?

celicat23 skrev:Love what you've done with the car, except the plexi glass lid over the engine: that looks tacky and home-made :? Everything else looks real nice!
Can say that I am agree with that.. may if you took a turbo lid and "cut" a hole in the middle and then take a plexiglass to fit in the hole. Like this:

The price is very difficult, you can make a V6 swap for 4.000€ or for 10.000€. I pay 7500€ include all very expensive handmade parts. I think complete 6000€ is a real price.
My install set includ new wiring harness cost 2000-2200€ + shipping.
A good Camry cost in germany around 2000-2500€ but you can sell many parts at ebay like lights, fenders and you can sell your old engine.
Replace parts like clutch, timing belt, seals cost 500-2000€ perhaps your engine is in good conditions you must make not too much. (perhaps I sold as extra all parts you need for replacing)
Install the engine is for anybody possible who can replace the 3S-GE engine.

If turbo or V6 is not so easy to say, if you whant very easy 300hp take the turbo, if you whant a smooth and crusing engine without any problems take the V6.
I suggest anybody to make some headwork at the V6 that bring very much extra hp and higher rotation, I open the airchanals intake and exhaust around 20%.
The normal V6 will be good for 220-230hp, if you whant more you must adjust fuel system wiht bigger injectors and make normal N/A tuning or you can take the TRD supercharger for 240+ hp or salfmade turbos up to 700hp. :D
This engine can handle the hardest tuning and the OBD is very tolerant!!

I make no swaps, but I have 2 companys in germany which can do this swap. But this is now in testing.

Yes I know, my lid was "handmade" I will make next time a better machine cut and sell it for anybody.
And I will make a new strut bar because the old don´t fit on the V6.

Yes, it is possible to use the supercharger from 1MZ-FE engine, then around 260hp and 380Nm at 0,4bar or to use a turbo or two...
Some 3VZ-FE engines produce 700hp.

But the difference between 3S-GE and 3VZ-FE is so very much, that I´am not interested to make mor hp.

Thats sounds like a wise decision ;) More hp - more problems (in many cases...)

Do you have plans for the new engine lid? (if you are going to make a new one)
 #292670  av Hot-Chili

Yes, but the 3VZ-FE engine is famous, it use only the old OBDI diagnostic system and is very fair with tuning, you can remove the EGR, use very big injectors and get no problems.
The engine ECU use the biggest maps Denso ever make.
And the engine is very overbuild at the crank and bearings.

I will make perhaps next year a new engine lid from Makrolon, but this is a new project, first I will finish the V6.
